Pillitteri Estate Wineries
The grapes are harvested primarily from the family's 53 acres of vineyards, planted with vitis vinifera and French Hybrid grape varieties. Following the exacting standards of the VQA (Vintner's Quality Alliance) production has increased steadily since the winery's opening, and currently stands at 600,000 litres. The winery's production facilities have recently undergone a major expansion, although growth in production is carefully controlled to ensure that the family's high quality standards are maintained.

Scenic Niagara on the Lake

Lake Ontario
Lake Ontario became a hub of commercial activity following the War of 1812 with canal building on both sides of the border and was heavily traveled by lake steamers, which reached their peak activity in the mid-19th century before competition from railway lines.

Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours
As the powerful Jet Boat speeds upriver, making their way into the breathtaking stonewalled canyon that is the Niagara Gorge. The anticipation builds as the boats splash into the whitewater of Devil's Hole Rapids.

Shows

The Shaw Festival
The Shaw Festival was started in 1962 by Niagara-area lawyer and playwright Brian Doherty. During the summer, Mr. Doherty organized eight weekend performances of Don Juan in Hell and Candida by Bernard Shaw under the title "Salute to Shaw". For this event, the Assembly Room in the historic Court House on Queen Street was converted into a small theatre.
